On September 22, 2023, attendees gathered for a hands-on workshop focused on Bitcoin and Lightning Network fundamentals, including node setup, channel management, and real-time wallet transactions. Students and professionals formed teams to pitch blockchain solutions aimed at empowering Black communities. Participants received $5 in Bitcoin and had the chance to win prizes, including access to the Voltage Startup program and Bitcoin mining equipment.
